Our Core Values

Self-confidence and communication skills lay the foundation for life-long success in business, relationships and personal achievement. Public Speaking is still the number one fear in the world. Due to all the technical communication devices available to children the face-to-face communication skills are not automatically developed.

As the 4th Industrial Revolution is upon us, it is key to be able to communicate, negotiate, collaborate and think critically. Confident Kids aims to unlock childrens potential by developing high levels of communication skills at a young age.

Confidence should be the right of every child, but despite a loving home environment many children never develop enough confidence to really thrive at school. This is where Speech & Drama can make a huge difference; the shy child is able to grow in self-confidence while the expressive child is given an outlet for their talents.

Drama skills have no right or wrong, but are a stepping stone to enhance the ability to develop trust in one self as well as the world around you. We allow pupils to explore their imaginations.

Who We Are

We are a team of qualified speech and drama teachers who offer lessons to schools in the Johannesburg area and have done so for the past 21 years. We have recently launched an online curriculum open to students across the world.

By joining our lessons learners have the opportunity to develop skills in public speaking, poetry, prepared and unprepared reading, mime, dialogue and other creative exercises. We also facilitate participation in various Eisteddfods.

All entries are done under the school's name and all points acquired count for the Drama Awards at the school. We give our pupils the opportunity to enter for Trinity College International Drama examinations in September.

We are also linked to a casting and advertising agency for TV and all our pupils are automatically represented by us.
